This project presents a kinematic coupling and electrical spring contact system to couple a battery to a generic electric system. Using kinematic coupling, the battery will be fully constrained under load, keeping the electrical contacts fully engaged and properly aligned. The electrical spring contacts can withstand small deflections and will self-clean during insertion to ensure a robust connection. By developing a model for the deflection and resistance of electrical contacts during regular use, future designs of larger battery coupling systems can be facilitated.Â
